«I didn’t have a clue what a Spanish driven hunt was. I now know what it is and want to repeat yearly. I don´t remember much except for a pounding heart and adrenaline rush that lasted for hours. I have no idea how I shot accurately whilst trembling so much. I have never experienced such an intense and exhilarating hunting experience. «A great holiday. Frankly I wasn’t interested in the tourism and the cultural stuff you laid on but my wife and kids loved it. I was just interested in the gunpowder part! And it was outstanding. My shoulder still hurts..! I was initially reluctant about the film crew accompanying us but now that I´ve seen the footage (time and time again) and I have no regrets – what a memorable experience and on tape forever. Thanks for persuading me about the film guy who I was nervous about at the start. See you in SA next month! Unas vacaciones geniales. «I am an seasoned hunter yet have never experienced nor understood the concept of the Spanish driven hunt. It is sort of scary, intensive and exciting at the same time. There are times when I literally didn’t know where to look or aim due to the sheer number of animals going left, right and centre. Soy un cazador experto, sin embargo, nunca había probado ni entendido el concepto de la caza española de montería. Por un lado se siente miedo pero al mismo tiempo es algo intenso y emocionante. Hubo momentos en los que literalmente no sabía ni dónde buscar mi objetivo, debido a la gran cantidad de animales que iban de izquierda a derecha y al centro. Fue una experiencia muy agradable e intensa. Repetiré, pero tengo que ahorrar durante un tiempo y reconsiderar la compra de un arma automática ya que mi rifle de cerrojo es claramente inadecuado.»

«La verdad es que nunca había imaginado que sería tan divertido. No tenía experiencia en caza y puedo asegurar que no me aburrí ni un solo momento. Solo el paisaje, la temperatura, el estar inmerso en la naturaleza, la fauna, desde que amanece hasta el ocaso, te hace olvidar cualquier circunstancia de la vida cotidiana, y te hace pasar el tiempo tan deprisa que cuanto te vas solo estás pensado en cuando podrás volver. En otro orden, es muy acogedora el personal que organiza las jornadas de caza, y también la compañía que puedes encontrar durante la estancia, vamos que todo ello te hace parecer que estás en tu propia casa»

«Ibero African Hunts organized a hiccup-free hunting holiday. John has very high standards and left no detail, however small, unattended to. The hunting itself was excellent with a huge variety of plains game and most of the Big Five. The lodge accommodation was intimate (only 6 rooms) and very comfortable, striking exactly the right balance between comfort and over the top luxury. The Wintershoek Professional Hunters were highly skilled, professional and also very good company. They were determined to find the best trophies. The ranch is very large being over 50,000 ha, which means the hunting is authentic. The landscape is classic South African bushveld combining beautiful acacia thorn trees, kopjes (small hills), grassland areas, thick forests and dry river beds. The irresistible African sunset cannot be left unmentioned. I hope to return in the very near future.»

«Botswana Lion hunting definitely lived up to its reputation. We tracked and saw 21 different male lions, harvesting the one we had been tracking for 5 days at only 40 yards. I had previously hunted lion on 4 different occasions in Tanzania, with out success. We were also successful in harvesting 3 great trophy bull elephants, in which 2 were over 75lbs. in 2 consecutive years. John, your concessions, camps, staff, and Professional Hunters are the best I have ever hunted with.»
